My Aunt Lois Nolan (Lois Darleen Baker, daughter of Willie Josiah and Bessie Edith Baker) and husband Charles Nolan, both now deceased, spent many hours researching our Baker family history beginning in the early 1990s. Among the other information and images gathered and produced, they photographed the beautifully hand written list in Rev Andrew’s family Bible, which gives us his wife’s name and the names and births of all his children, except Martha, the youngest. I’m hoping that many of Lois’ collection of photos, letters, and legal documents will eventually appear on this website.

The late Oddis Jackson Baker (Lois’ older brother and my father) assembled and wrote much of the original personal and historical narrative text in this website. He used his own and his sister’s research, as well as his childhood memories of the Middle Fork area on Richland Creek in Southeastern Kentucky.

I’m Bill Baker (William Albert Baker), the oldest son of Oddis and Vivian Baker. I first created the original website in 2000 using my family’s research, and I am now perpetually updating and enlarging it as more research is done by me and scores of my online cousins.

If you have information you think belongs on this website or that might help us extend our known lineage further back in history, please email me here.
