1. Lois Nolan (Lois Darleen Baker, daughter of Willie Josiah and Bessie Edith Baker) and her husband Charles Nolan have spent many hours researching the Baker family history over the past years. Among other documents and information, Lois located a copy of Andrew Baker’s family bible that lists his marriage and children with names and births. We hope soon to be able to scan some of Lois' collection of letters, legal documents, etc. for inclusion in this Web site. As Lois and Charles continue to do research, new facts and data will also be shown here.

  2. Oddis Jackson Baker (Lois' older brother) has assembled and written all of the personal and historical text on this Web site. Using both Lois' research and his own, as well as his childhood memories of the Middle Fork Area, Oddis has woven a fascinating narrative of the Baker family history that can be read and enjoyed by everyone.

  3. Bill Baker (William Albert Baker) is the oldest son of Oddis and Vivian Baker. Bill created this Web site, and will continue to expand and update it as information becomes available from family members. He also created the maps in that section--using online sources such as MapQuest and Terraserver for reference. (Bill and his son, Clint, are Web designers by profession. This Baker Family site is located on their server in Memphis, TN. Their own Web sites are: http://www.bakerdesign.com and http://www.clintbaker.com )

  4. Gloria Baker (wife of Phillip Lee Baker, youngest son of Oddis Baker) has recently done considerable research on the Baker family history. Her work has confirmed much of the existing information, and she has also uncovered material that could extend the known lineage back significantly. Her findings are currently being cross-referenced and verified against similar earlier data and new sources such as the DAR Museum in Washington, DC.

This list will continue to expand as other family members contribute to the growing store of information on this Web site.
